A real pleasure to read, time and again.

It feels wholesome because it is a truthful, thorough and honest narration of interpersonal relations in tumultuous times.

Set in London, such a solid metropolis, a rich tapestry unfolds around the very essence of life. Woven around the theme of love, life is preserved for Clarissa, thanks to her husband Richard, while it is destroyed for Septimus, who decides to embrace death to preserve life rather than have it snuffed out by the outrageous treatment of mental ills at the time.

Poetic prose.
